MMILC Monitoring Week #2 by Jacob C.

This week was my first week of monitoring ever since last year since I did motor during last year with people like Shaili and Emma, who are veterans at monitoring. Fortunately my group picked up on monitoring pretty quickly and we were the second group to finish. During monitoring we didn’t encounter any actual monarchs or caterpillars however we did find 2 eggs as well as a jumping spider, a crab spider, and what my friend Edwin called a funnel spider. After working very hard and breezing through the monitoring session where we measured plants, we got to eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches as well as a few ice cream sandwiches. At the end of the day we went to UC Davis to enter our data for a grueling amount of time and I am now writing this blog because I was named my group blogger. The End.
