Week Six

On Wednesday May 10th, our group went out to survey the milkweed plants. It was a nice sunny day, and I saw lots of ladybugs. Most of the milkweeds that we encountered with either no emerged or just beginning to sprout up. Although the weeds had been cut in the surrounding area, none of the milkweeds were cut along with them. No monarchs of any stage were observed since the milkweeds had just began to sprout. It seemed to be extremely dry in the ditch, most of the dirt lacked moisture. There were still many weeds in the area despite many of them being cut. MMMILCm
