Even though it was only 85 degrees, it sure felt like 115. Despite the heat, our group prevailed, and went on to measure our assigned milkweed plants (230-261). Initially, our group really underestimated how long it would take to walk and find these plants, which ended up being upwards of 15 minutes. After our trek in the scorching sun, we finally got to measure the plants. About half of our plants were either dead, or too far away from their marker to be recorded. We unfortunately didn’t see any butterflies, but we did see tons of aphids, as well as several other bugs.
