I went with Taylor and Tatum this week on our milkweed measuring adventures right after school on Friday. Luckily it wasn’t quite as hot as last week but the assigned segments 358 to 388 were so far from the bridge at the end of Kestrel. Measuring was smooth sailing as the second time is always easier than the first. During our measurements we came across some critters including a ton of milkweed long horned beetles, aphids, and a caterpillar! We also met a cat that joined us for part of the time until it ran off into the mud. I hope to see even more insects the next time as well as the cat.
