Today, I went into the field with Byron and Emi. We found some interesting things at the beginning of our course including a LAMB and a few monarch caterpillars of varying instars. We also found a gray insect at one point that we could not identify and we believe flew away before we could get a picture of it. An interesting fact is that there was a sizeable section of milkweeds that had not emerged, which may mean something. We were able to finish data collection for our course in 50 minutes, which we are sure is a record. I don’t think any group can top that.
